Supervisor – Catastrophe Team

Cotton Holdings, Inc. is a diversified holding company providing property restoration, construction, roofing, transportation, temporary workforce housing, and culinary services worldwide. Storm season is upon us and Cotton is currently accepting applications for Supervisors – Restoration. Applicants must be willing to travel for an extended period, pass a background check, and have documentation necessary to complete an I-9. The Supervisor will lead and work alongside general labor personnel during event-driven projects, ensuring quality work, meeting deadlines as communicated by Project Management, maintaining a high level of integrity, and supporting a team environment. Successful candidates will have a background in Demolition, Restoration, and/or Construction. Previous disaster relief experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities

Conduct basic cleaning steps for fire, water, and mold, including wiping down, packing, inventory control, removing debris, wrapping goods, and loading/unloading vehicles. Meet deadlines by maintaining or exceeding productivity. Assist the PM or APM in training agency general labor on projects. Lead a crew by explaining tasks and working side-by-side with crew members. Communicate effectively with all employees to promote a positive environment. Abide by all safety and company policies. Report to work on time when scheduled. Safety

Use personal protective equipment required for fire, water, and mold jobs; report any violations to the Superintendent. Report accidents or unsafe environmental or behavioral conditions immediately to a supervisor. Understand and adhere to the safety program and all safety policies and procedures. Typical Decisions / Refer

Assist the APM or PM in reviewing individual work to ensure proper cleaning and eliminate repeat work. Assist the APM or PM in ensuring all safety equipment is on hand for specific job sites, including vehicle checklists. Perform tasks with the team to ensure quality products and services. Typical Problems Encountered

Not viewed as the lead person; staff may not respond initially. Scope of the job not properly estimated, leading to under- or over-estimation of time. Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively. Experience

Team Lead or Crew Lead experience. Commercial cleaning experience a plus. Restoration, Construction, and/or General Labor experience. Minimum 1 year of working experience. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Ability to travel for an extended period (required). Knowledge & Skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time (4+ hours). Ability to bend, squat, and reach over the shoulder and head consistently. Ability to perform repetitive motions, such as cleaning rotation. Ability to work in hot environments. Ability to work in smoky, odoriferous environments. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment specific for job sites, such as full-face respirators and eye goggles. Disclaimer
