NIGHT SHIFT POSITION: 10pm - 7am Position Summary The Sanitation Supervisor oversees that products manufactured at Faygo Beverage meets all food safety and quality standards of FDA, State, and local regulations. He/ She ensures the cleanliness of production lines, warehouse, and the entire plant, as well as ensuring quality standards are met in the manufacturing of finished products.
Responsibilities
Supervise and direct Q.C. technicians and sanitation employees on their day to day tasks.
Conducts internal audits (Plant Cleanliness Inspection)
Review daily syrup batch records, master sanitation schedule (MSS), and Quality checks.
Create, Revise, and Implement sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) and standard operating procedures (Quality SOP).
Updates and follow up with all Q.C. and sanitation verification programs
Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
Share knowledge, skills and information with other personnel in the Quality department and across functional areas.
Providing required quality, food safety trainings to all employees.
Participate in all regulatory, third party and customer audits and inspections.
Ensure good performance by sanitation, and quality control technicians by mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations.
Maintain a fair and professional work environment that focuses on the business objectives, but also balances quality of work-life factors for employees.
Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
Required Education / Experience / Skills
Bachelor Degree of Science preferred
HACCP or PCQI Certified preferred
At least 2 years of work experience as quality technician or supervisor preferably in the food industry.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines (overtime work may be required), and make effective decisions.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
Must be able to effectively communicate ideas (verbally and in writing), be a self-starter and handle difficult reporting situations.
