The Wheelchair Van Driver provides compassionate care and transport for elderly, disabled, and temporarily injured individuals in the King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties. The position involves door to door, bed to bed, and curb to curb transport. In certain cases, transporting citizens up and down stairs is required. The primary objective of the Wheelchair Van Driver is to provide respectful medical transportation, while preserving the patients’ dignity and ensuring community safety.
Job Qualifications
Correct mapping to and from dispatched locations
Maintaining good working relationships with facility staff, medical personnel, and citizens
Maintaining professional appearance
Following guidelines and using judgment centered on safety in all actions
Always maintaining clean and professional wheelchair vans
CPR/First Aide certified (recommended, not required)
MVR acceptable under insurance standards
Types of Machines, Tools, Special Equipment Used Wheelchairs and vans
Work Schedule Fulltime
Required license or certification
Driver's License
