This shift is Monday - Friday from 12 - 8:30pm.

Security Officer/Driver The Security Officer/Driver is responsible for protecting company property, employees, and visitors from potential criminal activity while ensuring the secure and professional delivery of cannabis and dispensary merchandise. Additional responsibilities include securely transporting packages Monday through Friday, collecting and communicating payment methods, and completing daily delivery closeouts with the General Manager of Operations.

Your role in caring for our company The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.

Reports suspicious activity to General Manager of Operations and ensures appropriate staff is notified in a timely manner.

Ensures constant contact with General Manager Operations, Facilities and other security officers and responds to emergency calls immediately.

Escorting vendors entering the building.

Assists fire and police officials with safety drills and/or emergency situations.

Monitors CCTV systems for suspicious activity throughout the facility.

Provides detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management.

Contacts law enforcement or fire department in the event of an emergency.

After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.

Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.

Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.

Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.

Conduct visual inspections of the facility's transportation vehicle.

Operate vehicle in a safe and secure manner.

Verify accuracy of METRC manifest and load all deliveries according to stop location into vehicle.

Follow all safety protocol while on site and abide by the road safety protocol while on routes.

Unload and deliver all product boxes and abide by customers protocols while on site at their location.

Collect payments, verify payment method, and communicate with Office Manager.

Maintain accurate data petty cash logs and a clean and organized work vehicle.

Maintain vehicle maintenance schedule to include oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, etc.

Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.

All other duties as necessary Qualifications we ask you to have

For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.

We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.

We ask that you have at least three (3) years of previous security-related work experience.

We ask that you have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.

We ask that you have a valid driver's license.

We ask that you have a clean driving record.

Willing and able to work after normal business hours as it pertains to longer delivery routes.

We prefer a Security Guard training certification.

Addition skills which will help you excel in your role

Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends and applicable holidays.

Ability and willingness to ensure all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.

This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks, in addition to walking and standing throughout the workday.

This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

This position requires you to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.

This position will require PPE to be worn throughout the workday to include scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants. DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets to all employees

This position will be working both indoors and outdoors year-round, often times for extensive periods of time.

Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
