JOB TITLE: WASTEWATER LABORER

AREA OF USE: WACO FACILITY (Waco, Texas)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES
Performs typical maintenance task to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: plumbing, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, and janitorial.
Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions and specifications.
Must feel comfortable working in a team environment and with outside contractors.
Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be familiar with the waste water system.
Must have a good work history and attendance record.
Must have a history of safe work practices.
Must be familiar with plant safety policies.
Must assist in Dewatering Room.
Must be able to check and repair pumps.
Must replace gear oil when necessary.
Must be able to perform all maintenance required in wastewater department.
Must obey all USDA, HACCP, and PLANT rules and regulations including safety.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Training requirements: General safety, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, HAZMAT.
Physical demands: some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required; lifting objects up to 70 lbs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School / GED or tech school education.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments.
Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
