Educator Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students! Our mission emphasizes inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and giving families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Position Details Location:
Candidates should be open to working at any of the schools we partner with in the Elgin U-46 School District, which has schools located in Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Wayne, Hoffman Estates, and Carol Stream.
Educator Pay Rate:
$15–18/hour (based on education and experience)
Program Hours:
Mon‑Fri: 1:45 PM–6:00 PM. We are looking for candidates who are available to work all five days for one or both shifts. We cannot accommodate partial shifts at this time.
Start Date:

Required
At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
At least six months of experience working with children 5‑13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting (preferred)
You’ll Drive The Mission By
Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and maintain team accountability.
Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives; organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
Leading by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documentation of attendance, incidents, and other observations.
Communication: effective communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
Works well in a team environment
Ability to lift 25 lbs
Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
IL Requirements
Ability to meet state-specific requirements
First Aid and CPR-in-person certification
Clear tuberculosis test
18+ years of age
Proof of High School diploma/GED required
