Job Description Implement all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the Floral department. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
Responsibilities
Develop maximum customer relations through personal example of friendliness and courtesy, implementing all company policies.
Handle customer complaints perceptively.
Receive, process, and produce Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery.
Coach and train staff on pricing, price marking, rotation, stocking, and customer courtesy and productivity.
Provide active support of our Customer 1st culture.
Plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of the Floral Department.
Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all floral products.
Order appropriately to maintain adequate stock and supplies, guarding against waste and pilferage.
Maintain and submit required records and reports, using them effectively.
Maintain effective and clean housekeeping in all areas.
Continuously analyze all aspects of the Floral Department, making recommendations to the store manager.
Promote, communicate, and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports positively.
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications Minimum
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
Strong Florist Transworld Delivery computer and organizational skills.
Able to handle stressful situations calmly and leave a positive impression on associates and customers.
Possess skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to the sale of merchandise.
Understanding of all key components of department operations.
Working knowledge of floral arrangement and care of plants and cut flowers.
Adept at communication with employees, customers, and in supervision.
Desired
Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
Prior floral experience.
Supervisory skills.
