About the Opportunity We have an exciting Renewable Natural Gas Biogas Technician opportunity. The Biogas Technician will work in a team environment to accomplish operational and maintenance objectives identified by Seaboard Foods RNG Management. They are responsible for the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repairs of the RNG facilities’ mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities
Monitor/operate RNG facilities from a control room, identify issues, and make necessary changes to ensure steady operations.
Support QSH&E goals and improvement plans.
Perform work orders and ensure all maintenance work is done in accordance with safety rules.
Calibrate and repair PH sensors, pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters.
Maintain proper record keeping of calibrations in equipment data files.
Perform preventive maintenance on freshwater and effluent systems, air systems, heat exchangers, and pumps.
Maintain compressors, motors, pumps, and valves associated with operations.
Diagnose and repair electrical power and control systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices.
Rotate on a schedule (7 days on, 7 days off; on-call nights and weekends).
Qualifications – Required
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret English-language technical documents.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers and visitors.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
Qualifications – Preferred
Associate’s degree or technical diploma (Biology/ Chemistry preferred).
1+ years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
Experience in gas compression field.
Schedule The biogas technician will be on a rotation with other technicians: 7 days on (Thursday–Wednesday) and 7 days off. Occasionally overtime or schedule changes may be required.
Work Environment
Employee regularly required to move around the facility.
Employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to move from place to place, climb ladders or platforms, and wear all safety and production equipment.
Work environment varies from indoor control room to remote locations with extreme hot or cold conditions.
Noise level varies depending on area.
