Immediate opening in Benton Harbor, MI for a Regional Class A CDL Truck Driver. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder.

Pay and schedule details:
Pay: $1,630 or more per week
Driver Positions pay weekly
Solo Miles pay: $0.60 per mile with 2000 miles per week
Solo Stops pay: $26.00 per stop with 15 stops per week
Per Diem pay: $40.00 per night with 1 – 2 nights per week
Paid training
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Start Time: 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM

Tractor Type: Day Cab
Trailer Type: Dry Van 31', 40', 45', 48', 53'
Equipment: Manual & Electric Pallet Jack
Freight: Hardware supplies (touch freight)
Endorsements: Hazmat – within 90 days of hire
Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and Ryder company drivers fuel the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder drug test
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Important Note: Some positions may require additional screening including employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and customer-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by customer
Performing other duties as assigned
