Prepared Foods Production Team Member (Deli / Culinary Prep) - Part Time

Base pay range:
$15.00/hr - $24.40/hr
Responsibilities
Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated.
Ensure product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
Use correct measuring devices and follow all recipes.
Help customers understand the difference between WFM products and those at conventional stores.
Keep walk‑ins and freezers clean and well‑organized.
Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and apply suggestive selling techniques; answer phones and pages courteously.
Maximize sales potential through effective prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of product.
Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment; keep equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough product knowledge.
Ability to produce adequate recipe quantities per shift based on batch size.
Access information about market conditions and communicate it to customers.
Understand spoilage and supply waste and its impact on department profits.
Apply merchandising expectations within the department.
Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Deliver information clearly and respectfully to Team Members, customers, and vendors.
Meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions.
Follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills.

Desired Work Experiences
No prior retail experience required.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
In an 8‑hour work day: standing/walking 6‑8 hours.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures:
90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
May require use of ladders.
