Non-Credit Instructor- EMS Program (Part-time, Variable Hour) at Utah Valley University. This role supports Paramedic and AEMT programs for the Lehi Campus at Thanksgiving Point and the EMT program held in Provo. Locations: Paramedic & AEMT Programs Address: 2889 Ashton Blvd, Lehi, UT 84043; EMT Program Address: 3131 Mike Jense Pkwy, Provo, UT 84601. Summary Of Responsibilities

The successful individual shall perform some or all the following duties: Teach assigned sections in EMS courses. Prepare instructional materials as necessary. Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in classrooms and EMS learning labs using appropriate teaching methods. Evaluate instruction and learning utilizing appropriate testing methods. Maintain a student-oriented approach to education. Maintain and submit accurate and current reports and records involving student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Utah licensure in one of the following EMS provider levels: EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic with a current Utah BEMS EMS Instructor endorsement, and AHA BLS Instructor Certification, or licensure with a specific healthcare specialty (Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, P.A., N.P., MD/DO, etc.). Preferred Qualifications

AHA ACLS/PALS Instructor (required for AEMT and Paramedic Programs). Three years of prehospital experience with a 911 system. Two years of teaching experience. NAEMT Instructor certification (for Paramedic program). Documents Needed to Apply

Resume Cover Letter License or Certification - BEMS Instructor certification, AHA (BLS, ACLS, PALS) or other certifications. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Extensive knowledge of subject matter and course content of classes, instructional strategies, and techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of student management, motivation, and evaluation. Thorough knowledge of the appropriate field of study. Effective human relations skills and communication techniques. Public speaking and report writing skills. Ability to apply general principles effectively to specific conditions. Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions. Ability to work effectively with people. EEO Statement
