Hiring: $14-16 per hour.
Job Summary Worland Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a Cook to join our dietary department. We believe breakfast, lunch and dinner should be healthy, delicious and fun. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.
Essential Functions
Prepare pre-planned cycle menus effectively.
Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
Read production orders on tray cards.
Ensure food quality and timing for tray service.
Maintain and improve standards of food storage, preparation, and service.
Check food supplies on order forms.
Push carts to halls or kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, hygienic methods.
Interpersonal skills.
Competency in operating kitchen equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stoop.
Education, Licensure, and Experience
Required: Current Food Handlers card (or ability to obtain one) issued by local Health Department.
Preferred: Prior cooking experience in a skilled nursing environment.
