Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr.
We are a skilled tradesperson in charge of installing, inspecting, and repairing pipes and plumbing systems to ensure all building fixtures operate correctly. Duties include locating leaks and blockages, fixing or replacing broken parts, testing the plumbing system, assisting plumbers, pipe fitters, steamfitters, or pipe layers with tasks requiring less skill, using materials and tools, and cleaning the work area.
A plumber must perform various tasks and communicate effectively with both commercial and residential clients. Customer service is a significant part of the role, and accurate record‑keeping is important.
Evening and weekend work may be required.
Education and Experience
At least 2 years of previous plumbing and active installation.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Post‑Secondary Certificate for training completed after or during high school.
Knowledge
Understanding plumbing systems, reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, knowledge of building codes, problem‑solving, and customer service.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools in building construction.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
Customer service skills.
Seniority level Entry level.
