About the Role The Kitchen Porter supports the smooth operation of the office kitchen and break areas by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization. Duties include washing dishes and utensils, cleaning kitchen surfaces and appliances, restocking supplies, and ensuring waste is properly disposed of. The role may also involve assisting with light food prep for meetings or events. Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a professional office environment are essential.

Shifts AvailableMonday to Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm

Saturday Only: 1 pm to 9 pm \ Pay Rate $17.50/hour

What You’ll Do

Sanitize and clean food prep areas

Wash and sanitize all pots, pans, or other cookware

Empty and clean dishwashers (if applicable)

Wipe down walls and other general equipment, including microwaves, toasters, and coffee makers

Wash and disinfect all prep boards, surfaces, slicers, and utensils

Empty trash cans around the property, replacing trash bags

Clean and disinfect all waste bins and areas after emptying garbage

Sweep and mop kitchen floors and common areas

Remove trash, clean floors, dust and wipe down all surfaces

Operate walk‑behind floor cleaning machines (if applicable)

Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas

Maintain janitor closets in a clean and organized manner

Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition

Proficiency in English enhances collaboration and communication with colleagues and clients

Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

Proficiency in English is highly recommended

Open availability: overtime work and schedule adjustments may be required; holiday work may also be needed

Applicants must provide proof of work authorization and complete I‑9 and E‑Verify processes

Good hygiene skills required

Physical Requirements

Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching

Must be able to lift 35 lbs, and carry a 12 lbs backpack vacuum as needed

Requirements

Complete a pre‑employment background check

California Food Handlers certification is a plus

U.S. citizenship may be required
