Summary The Mixer is responsible for preparing and mixing epoxy materials according to established specifications and process instructions. This role supports safe, efficient production by accurately calculating mixes, operating processing equipment, and ensuring product quality, cleanliness, and compliance with all safety standards. This position will begin with training on 1st shift before transitioning to the weekend shift schedule.
Essential Functions
Identify, prepare, and transfer correct quantities of raw epoxy materials to designated locations.
Operate processing and mixing equipment in accordance with approved process instructions and procedures.
Monitor equipment and processes to maintain required run rates and ensure consistent product quality.
Perform initial testing and product release to confirm materials meet required specifications.
Create, verify, and apply correct labels for packaging materials in compliance with established labeling rules and instructions.
Accurately calculate mix ratios to meet product specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Follow all safety policies and procedures in an OSHA-regulated manufacturing environment.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to support production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic math skills required to accurately calculate mixes and measurements.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in epoxy mixing and/or manufacturing operations.
General knowledge of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
Ability to walk and climb stairs multiple times during a shift.
Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
Ability to perform manual work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Training Schedule
New hires will train on 1st shift (Monday–Friday) for a designated training period prior to transitioning to the weekend schedule.
Weekend 1st Shift
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Three (3) 12-hour shifts
6:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Weekend Shift works 36 hours and is paid for 40 hours. No overtime is available for the weekend shift.
