About this Position
Route Driver – responsible for operating transit buses safely and on time while serving the public and upholding ADA compliance. Pay Rate: $26.73 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
Enjoy working with the general public.
Work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ensure safe on‑road operations while maintaining on‑time performance.
Familiarity with assigned routing and detours.
Awareness of ADA policies and procedures; understand ADA compliance.
Proper operation of all wheelchair lifts for each bus model.
Collect prescribed fares and notify dispatch of any refusal to pay or fare violation.
Provide information to passengers; welcome and help passengers.
Communicate effectively with passengers, especially in case of service disruptions.
Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and enter all defects into the ZONAR system.
Follow exact deadhead routing and assigned revenue service routes.
Depart the start of each route exactly on‑time and never operate ahead of schedule.
Report any bus bunching or other problems that may disrupt scheduled service.
Report immediately to dispatch any vehicular accident or passenger incident and follow the incident and accident reporting procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
MUST be at least 21 years old.
MUST have a NV Class A or B CDL with Passenger and Air Brakes endorsements or CDL Permit.
MUST be able to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
MUST have a clean driving record – DMV printout required for the last 10 years.
MUST have a stable work history.
