Role Description Little Miracles Daycare is seeking caring, dependable full-time Assistant Teachers to support our classrooms across multiple age groups. Assistant Teachers play an essential role in creating a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment while supporting daily routines, learning activities, and active supervision of children.
Assistant Teachers work under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and center leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and activities
Support
active supervision
and ensure the safety and well-being of all children
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and nap routines as age‑appropriate
Support age‑appropriate learning activities and play‑based curriculum
Model positive behavior, patience, and respectful communication
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures
Communicate professionally with staff and families
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Ability to meet all Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licensing requirements
Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED plus 12 months of licensed child care experience
High school diploma or GED plus 12 college credit hours in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, education, or a related field
Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
Faith Requirements
Must be a practicing Christian who supports and upholds the mission and values of Little Miracles Daycare
Comfortable incorporating faith‑based principles into classroom instruction and daily interactions
Willing to model Christ‑centered behavior for children, families, and staff
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Valid Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (child care) (or willingness to obtain)
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Proof of required immunizations or approved exemption per ADHS regulations
Ability to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Genuine passion for nurturing and educating young children
Starting pay: $17/hour
Full‑time or part‑time schedules available
