JOB SUMMARY : The Vehicle Operator is an active member of the team and provides transportation as needed for individuals to attend the Peer Day Program.
Responsibilities
Operate motor vehicles to transport individuals to and from Peer Day Program.
Maintain all training necessary to operate a state vehicle and transport individuals.
Complete and maintain all reports, transportation logs.
Ensure vehicles are maintained and reports turned in to the Health & Safety officer each month.
Ensures vehicles are up to standards and in compliance.
Follows established policies and procedures regarding transportation of individuals and calling in for unscheduled absences.
Uses time management and maintains schedule.
Maintains all mandatory annual training required by Highland Rivers and DBHDD, CARF.
Adheres to dress code.
Uses initiative and judgement to assure that circumstances requiring special attention (i.e. individual acting out) are referred to the supervisor and or director.
Work flexible hours to ensure that individuals arrive to their destination at the appropriate time.
Qualifications
Class A CDL; No Experience Required.
