Position Overview The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their intellectual, emotional, and physical growth. This person organizes and implements an instructional program that results in students achieving academic success in accordance with Legacy Traditional School policies and State Standards.
Essential Functions
Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth needed for primary school success.
Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
Participate in training and staff meetings.
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed.
Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required; participate in events outside of normal hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications That Set You Up For Success
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment (AZ only).
Pass a criminal history background check.

A current teaching certificate from within the state (position is located in Arizona).
