Working with engineers and technicians, you will assemble, wire, plumb, test‑run, troubleshoot, and repair custom‑designed automation equipment that incorporates high‑tech systems such as robots, lasers, pick‑and‑place mechanisms, automatic feeders, induction heating, machining, welding, forming, and more.

Work alongside automation engineers and technicians to interpret our designs and bring them to life, studying specifications such as SolidWorks models, drawings, sketches, and descriptions.

Manage projects, including organization, cleaning, and verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances for assembled components.

Lift and position machine parts, secure them on a surface plate or worktable, and assemble parts into mechanisms.

Wire and plumb machines with guidance from engineers or technicians, setting up basic automation electronics such as sensors and VFDs.

Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment to machine or fabricate parts, verifying conformance to specifications.

Attend training to expand knowledge of current programming languages and machine maintenance, including Basic Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and PLC/Robotic coding.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Five or more years’ experience in a mechanic, manufacturing, or machinist environment, with or without training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands‑on skills from working on cars, farms, homes, etc. are a strong bonus. An AS in engineering/technology is also a plus.
