Delivery Driver Non CDL . About the Role
You will Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management. Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load to prevent shifting or damage and ensure the necessary equipment to safely unload is available. Understand shipping documents for each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination. Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy. Unload the merchandise from the truck and place it as requested by the receiving party. Obtain a legible signature for all delivered merchandise per Company policy. Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer. Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately. Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including items picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, or purchased from other wholesalers. Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered during deliveries. Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure. Keep the cab and body free of debris. Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck. Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when applicable. At the end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store them in the approved location. Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and management. About You
Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs as a non-CDL driver. You must: Be at least 21 years old Possess a proper and valid driver’s license Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed Our ideal candidate will also Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor vehicles in general and commercial motor vehicles under DOT regulations Know and apply safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment Be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers Remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment Learn and operate computer-related systems used in the delivery process Read, write, speak and understand English Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals The Benefits of Working with Us
