Job Description
The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, as well as storage and rotation of food and supplies. The role also includes janitorial duties in dining service areas such as the dining room, bistro, and other associated locations. All food handling, storage, and cleaning activities are performed in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards, complying with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.
Location: New Orleans, LA Employment Type: Part‑time Salary: $47,000.00−$51,000.00
Responsibilities
Dish, pot, and equipment washing and cleaning
Cleaning and maintaining dining service areas
Handling food storage and rotation procedures
Ensuring compliance with sanitary standards and regulations
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
Ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and work in confined spaces
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organizational and time‑management skills with good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
