Position Summary The Cambridge Springs Manufacturing Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to work with a dynamic team on a wide variety of exciting projects across the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Division. The primary role of this individual is to work within the Production Quality Engineering Department to perform professional administrative duties related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of prevention-oriented quality and inspection systems. The individual will support all production value streams and will collaborate with various production team members and plant leadership to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. The individual will employ problem solving and statistical techniques and will work both individually and in a team environment to analyze problems and trends, and to coordinate product disposition, corrective action, and improvement activities. This position requires a motivated, detail orientated, and well‑organized individual with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Quality Engineers in resolution of daily manufacturing issues and MRB activities.

Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, including preparation of forms, coordination with the plant, and completion of FAI reports.

Follow up on notifications with individuals on task completion or obtaining additional data.

Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) follow‑ups with the plant, customer, and supplier.

Assist with data gathering to support capability analysis of part key characteristics.

Maintain quality related documentation such as acceptance test reports, test instructions, and inspection procedures.

Support the Source Inspection Department to ensure customer delivery schedules are maintained.

Support departmental Value Stream Analysis (VSA) activities such as HPT boards, kaizen, production stops, etc., and assigned projects.

Create, submit, and monitor requisitions for new or modified inspection equipment, tooling/fixtures, and test fixtures.

Assist and complete production related audits.

Candidate will need to be proficient in the use of personal computers and general software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and have the ability to travel 5‑10% of the time to support customer, Parker Lord, and supplier improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Required

Exemplifies strong work ethic.

Ability to perform hands‑on work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Experience in rubber to metal bonding, metal processing, and adhesive application.

Operate all standard equipment and tools, in addition to some specialized equipment.

Independently work on tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams daily.

Skilled with computer equipment, electronic databases, Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Communicate frequently via written and verbal reports.

Demonstrate good planning and organizational skills.

Ability to accurately record data and report findings/trends and provide recommendations.

Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds.

Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred

Working knowledge of rubber to metal bonding, GD&T, electronics, and general metrology.

Application of statistical analysis tools to analyze problems and trends (e.g., seven basic tools, control charts, capability analysis, FMEAs).

Application of problem solving tools (RCCA methods, 8D, fishbone).

Coordination of product disposition and implementation of corrective actions.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls required to manufacture Parker Lord products.

Working knowledge of SAP functionality for Quality related processes.

Understanding of ISO/AS9100 and AS9102.

Knowledge and experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs (i.e., NetInspect, Minitab).

Experience in Lean Manufacturing.

Work Experience

8 years of relevant experience.

Or Associate’s degree in related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience.

Or Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience with black rubber or silicone elastomer compounds.

Education

Associate’s degree in a technical curriculum.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical curriculum.

Languages

English.
