Dassel-Cokato Public Schools is looking to fill this position Monday‑Friday the rest of the 2025‑2026 school year.
Scope of Assignment A Building Substitute is expected to fulfill any role as assigned by the District to meet operational needs. This position is expressly established to provide flexible staffing support, and duties may vary throughout the workday. Assignment to a particular role does not guarantee continuation of that role for the entirety of the day.
Assigned Duties
Substitute Teacher
Substitute Paraprofessional
Student supervision duties
Riding transportation routes
Intervention support
Assisting kitchen staff
Office or clerical support
Traveling between district buildings, as needed
All daily assignments will be determined by district administration or the building administrator and are subject to change based on district needs.
Substitute Teacher Responsibilities
Implement instructional plans provided by the absent teacher
Adhere to the assigned daily schedule
Take and report attendance and communicate any concerns to the office
Follow all applicable Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student accommodations
Substitute Paraprofessional Responsibilities
Follow plans provided by the absent paraprofessional
Implement IEP procedures and support requirements for assigned students
Communicate with case managers and instructional staff as necessary to fulfill assigned duties
Qualifications
Minnesota teaching license or Minnesota short call substitute license
