Position Description
Immediately Hiring a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Austin, TX. We want the right Employee to Drive with us at Ryder.

Pay & Schedule Paid weekly.
Hourly pay: $27.00 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: $750 at 30 days and $750 at 90 days
Paid training
Schedule: Friday – Sunday
Start time: PM shift
Route & Equipment
Deliver SOLO to: shuttling to surrounding areas
Route: local home daily
Tractor type: day cab, must be able to operate manual
Trailer type: dry van 53’
Freight: no touch – general freight
Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel up trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder drug test
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years, or
2 years’ experience within last 5 years, or
5 years’ experience within last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.
