Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. Other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring / Qualifications
At least 21 years of age Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. Benefits & Compensation
Pay Rate: Drivers make $80,000 to $90,000, with top earners up to $110,000+ Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, depending on experience 3rd Shift Dispatch 4-day work schedule with delivery methods including side lift gates, small pallets, and electric pallet sleds Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance Paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave accrual from day one 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement, and more Culture & Fit
