Your expertise involves conducting aerial drops from pole to pole and from pole to buildings, as well as splicing drops to the aerial mainline, ensuring safety, efficiency, and successful project completion.

What You’ll Do
Perform aerial fiber installation and splicing
Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed to ensure safety protocols are followed
Ensure door-tag notifications and resident alerts for construction activities are completed before work begins each day
Inspect and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Perform manual excavation and minor repairs with the use of shovels and mechanical tools as required
Direct and flag traffic flow in compliance with local DOT regulations
Assist with advanced maintenance of tools and equipment, while also identifying potential issues
Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed
Support the crew with complex tasks, including cable installation and repair, under your supervision
Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record
Certified pole climber or previous pole climbing experience
3-5 years of labor experience, preferably in telecommunications or construction
Advanced understanding of tools and equipment used in aerial telecom work
Ability to work safely and contribute to a team-focused environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Additional Qualifications
Pass a DOT physical to meet job requirements
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely: work at heights, handle fiber reels weighing up to 50 lbs, and operate in various weather conditions
Occasionally: physical ability or exposure, physical ability or exposure, physical ability or exposure
Pay Range The Laborer Telecom Aerial III hourly wage range is $24.00 - $30.00 depending on experience.
