Basic Job Functions Utility Role Responsibilities
Handle, move, store, and organize parts and materials in the warehouse.
Perform receiving, stocking, tagging, cycle counting, and update computer database records.
Maintain housekeeping standards and work closely with vendors and team members.
Fitter/Welder Role Responsibilities
Weld structural steel parts according to drawings or prints.
Perform visual inspections to ensure weld quality and structural integrity.
Obtain and maintain all required welding certifications.
Maintain housekeeping and produce quality products safely and efficiently.
Willingness to work swing shifts, weekends, and holidays as operating conditions require.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing/production environment experience
Experience with reading different measuring devices: tape measure, gauges, micrometers
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of weld symbols and weld defects
Ability to pass a 3G Weld Test within 30 days of hire
Knowledge or utilization of air arc gouging and plasma torch
Ability to operate a crane (Standard Overhead Crane)
