Position Objective Under supervision of the Director of Housekeeping, the Lead Supervisor will be responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. This includes processing of tasks, building teamwork, and maintaining mechanical hour capacity, productivity reports, and ownership of processes. Supports Mission Statements and Core Values.

Essential Job Functions

Supervise, direct, and assure completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Inspect site visit rooms and VIP arrivals, providing service for VIPs and recovery guests.

Train and audit supervisors, room attendants, turndown attendants, and house persons on hotel and Forbes 5‑star standards.

Assist guests as needed and work in a strong, team environment.

Be flexible to work all shifts and days of the week.

Have a basic knowledge of the hotel to ensure timeliness of customer needs as outlined in Pre‑Shift plans.

Education / Experience

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience of one year or more.

Communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Reading and counting essential.

Computer efficient in Excel and Word preferred.

Requirements

Coach and develop employees through basic skills and supervision.

Motivate by example on the production floor or in a classroom environment.

Aptitude to promote minimum skill levels that create positive outcomes in a hot or challenging work environment.

Establish and maintain a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations, protecting service professionals.

Follow directions, perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow‑through.

Work without direct supervision.

Work well as part of a team, set up and ensure workstations are organized with designated supplies and equipment.

Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift.

Report any faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and other problems immediately to the appropriate department.

Ensure work areas are stocked for the next shift.

Physical Demands

Lift a maximum of 50 lbs throughout the day.

Successfully complete the training/certification process for this position.
