Overview
Chartwells K12 is hiring a part‑time Food Service Worker/Cashier for Gladwin Community Schools at 401 North Bowery Avenue, Gladwin, MI 48624. The position is available immediately, with online applications only. Responsibilities
Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements. Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Relay relevant information to supervisor. Perform sales transactions: enter sales into the cash register, make change, accept card and other forms of payment, issue receipts, and follow procedures for issuing cash refunds. Maintain cash drawer compliance with overage/shortage standards. Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned. Previous food service or cashier experience preferred. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
