Description Of Job General Summary Retention Support Services (RSS) exists to help onboard new students and retain continuing students to Front Range Community College. This department thrives in providing holistic and wrap‑around services to students. This position is not grant funded, however grant support is a primary component of this role.
Duties Budgets and Purchasing
Process, review, troubleshoot, resolve.
Maintain spreadsheet lists of application issues such as fraudulent students who registered for classes.
Participate in Colorado Community College System (CCCS) testing of processes associated with the admissions application. Troubleshoot errors with application processing and communicate those issues to appropriate parties.
Act as liaison between Registrar team and the Admissions and Recruitment team regarding the application process.
Highly technical regarding ability to navigate multiple database and software programs in working to process applications and troubleshooting issues for prospective students, applicants, previous students, and coworkers.
Critical thinking skills used to research and interpret data, policies, and processes.
Office Management
Using knowledge of Banner and Microsoft suite, prepare files for reporting and assessment.
Schedule appointments for Sr. Director and other staff. Make copies of documentation as needed.
Create fliers, brochures, payroll schedules and other documents as requested.
Assist in RSS events and activities.
Assist with overall audit of files including data entered in database after each semester’s files are closed out. Make corrections in database and files as needed.
Order office supplies based on department needs. Responsible for maintaining, utilizing, and tracking P‑Card payments.
Develop and maintain office procedures; update and distribute forms and documents frequently used by staff.
Responsible for maintaining an annual budget book.
Events
Assist all RSS programs in coordination of shared events.
Assist each RSS program with their individual events.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Requirements:
Thirty‑six months (36) of professional, general administrative or office support experience. The primary function of your job must be clerical. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. (Part‑time experience will be pro‑rated). Do not use “SEE RESUME” statements on the application; your application must be completed in detail documenting your experience.
Substitution:
College, university, from an accredited institution may substitute for the clerical experience on a year‑for‑year basis. A copy of your transcript verifying the required credits must be received by application deadline if substitution is used.

Problem Solving/Decision Making: Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances and conflicts and negotiate with others.
Time Management: Independently manage your tasks to meet deadlines and expectations.
