Adjunct Legal Assistant (Paralegal) Instructor (Online Assignment Possibilities)
Adjunct Instructors are temporary, part-time faculty. Antelope Valley College invites applications for our applicant pool for Legal Assistant (Paralegal) discipline.
Responsibilities REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Instruct students
in the assigned discipline. Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, and/or off‑campus sites.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Applicant Must Meet One Of The Following Requirements):
Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience, OR any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.
Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master’s degree.
Academic Senate's approved equivalency: No equivalency per faculty division.
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (tit. 5 53024.1).
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience and willingness to teach online classes.
Experience and/or willingness to teach dual enrollment courses at a high school site.
Experience in the legal field.

Completed application.
Current résumé.
Letter of intent addressing minimum and desirable qualifications.
Scanned copy of official transcripts with required degree(s). Foreign transcripts and degrees require official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a U.S. review service at the time of application and must identify graduate‑level coursework. Evaluations by NACES are acceptable.
Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year.
Additional information: Each recruitment is conducted independently. Applicants may be required to pass a written/technical exam. Residency within a reasonable geographical area of the college may be necessary. Travel expenses for pre‑employment interviews will not be authorized.
