Base pay range
$15.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Paradise Locker Meats (PLM) is seeking a PART-TIME employee to fill our LABORER position. Working 10-15 hours per week, possibly including rotating Saturdays to assist in sanitation. We are looking for a smart, fun, positive and engaged employee to join our growing and dynamic team. Each day at PLM is filled with routine and hard work, but we are a driving force behind the cultural revolution of food in the United States.

Main Duties Assist the Production department by making boxes and keeping the box making area clean. Assist retail in various tasks. Assist sanitation department with weekly cleanings.
Know PLM mission, products, and most importantly core values
Assemble boxes daily for production departments
Assist retail in executing customer pickups from freezer - and carry out - heavy lifting
Assist Sanitation department with weekly janitorial cleaning of various areas
Assist retail in retrieving and putting away weekly orders from wholesale, stocking store, and keeping up retail store front
Assist in shipping as needed
Assist in special projects as requested
Skills and Experience Needed for Success
Self-starter and motivator
Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis throughout the work day
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Senior level Entry level

PLM is a multi-faceted family owned business that processes and ships local, sustainable, and humanely raised meats to the Kansas City area as well as the best restaurants and retail shops in the nation from coast-to-coast including New York, Boston, Washington DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. PLM is also at the forefront of a domestic cured meats renaissance with our own in-house program as well as working with dozens of the country’s preeminent curemasters.
On a daily basis livestock is processed, cut, packaged and shipped via truck and via FedEx. The day-to-day operations at PLM can be challenging and difficult as PLM customers include the most demanding and celebrated chefs. When the Friday truck leaves, everything must be perfect and accounted for. A drug test is required.
