Overview Department: Transporter
Facility: Prime Healthcare St Joseph Medical Center
Responsibilities The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include but are not limited to: darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties. Performs clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. Demonstrates adequate knowledge of tests ordered in Radiology, good telephone etiquette and polite, friendly manner. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.
Qualifications
Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
Transportation experience preferred
High School diploma or Equivalent (required starting April 2014)
