As a Resident Care Assistant, you will be crucial in supporting residents with their daily activities and ensuring their well-being and comfort. Key Responsibilities
Provide personalized care and assistance to residents according to their individual care plans.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and feeding.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety standards.
Monitor and record residents' health and progress, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, providing support and reassurance.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in healthcare or nursing assistance is preferred.
Previous experience in a caregiving or nursing assistant role is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform lifting and transferring of residents.
Flexibility to work afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
