The Assistant Irrigation Technician at New Albany Country Club is responsible for maintaining and repairing the irrigation system on our 27-hole golf course. This individual will work under the supervision of the Irrigation Technician and will assist in all aspects of irrigation maintenance and repair.

This is a full-time, hourly position located in New Albany, Ohio.

The schedule would be 6 am to 3:30 pm (including holidays) with alternating weekend mornings.

Compensation & Benefits The compensation for this position is $16 to $17 per hour, paid biweekly.

On-site training alongside our highly experienced irrigation tech.

Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance and repair of the irrigation system, including sprinklers, valves, and controllers.

Monitor and adjust water usage to ensure efficient and proper coverage.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the irrigation system and perform necessary repairs.

Assist in ensuring that all turf and landscape areas receive proper irrigation.

Operate and maintain irrigation equipment and tools.

Communicate any issues or concerns with the irrigation system to the Irrigation Technician.

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on the irrigation system.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Irrigation Technician or management

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair a plus but not required

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Adaptable and a team player.
