This role provides essential patient transport and ambulation support, ensuring safe and efficient movement for patients attending scheduled appointments and program participation. Responsibilities
Assist patients with transportation or ambulatory assistance within and throughout the BCCC. Coordinate with patient care practices and outreach programs such as the James Cancer Supportive Care Center, Physical Therapy, Center for Integrative Health, Exercise is Medicine, Parkinson’s Community Classes, and others. Operate under the supervision of the BCCC Building Manager. Perform patient transfers independently, including moving patients in and out of a car, wheelchair, and clinical furniture. Participate in training sessions and competency assessments conducted by a licensed physical therapist. Minimum Required Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent. 0 years of relevant experience required; 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred within 6 months of hire. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Screen reader users may encounter difficulty with the online application.
