POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision and guidance of the Tribal Prosecutors, the Administrative Assistant provides support and performs paralegal functions at their discretion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Answers incoming telephone calls and in-person reception.

Must be familiar with basic computer programs such as word, excel and access.

Must be familiar with general office procedures and practices.

Must maintain good relationship with other professionals associated with the Hualapai Tribe.

Knowledge of confidentially laws and willing to submit to confidentiality agreement.

Prepare indexes and binders.

Prepare and submit travel and expense reports per Tribal Policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Receiving and maintaining log of all incoming police reports.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

High School diploma or GED required; Paralegal Certification preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year work experience in secretarial/administrative field.

Knowledge of copy machines, typewriter, and phone etiquette.

Willing to take directions and work in a stressful, demanding and fast pace environment.

Some computer skills.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Must posses a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the tribe’s insurance.

Ability to pass an employment Drug/Alcohol screening process, including random checks.

Maintaining case files.

Maintaining Employee personnel files.
