About the Role
We’re lookingfor a
full-time Gardens Team Member
to support both our
internal andexternal garden areas . This is ahands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll help customers choose the rightproducts for their gardens while keeping the department well stocked, tidy, andsafe. Hours and days are rostered in line with store trading patterns andseasonal demand.This full-time roleincludes rostered shifts across several weekdays and at least one weekend day.
Assisting customers with plants, garden care, andoutdoor products
Replenishing stock and maintaining well-presenteddisplays
Watering, caring for, and rotating plant stock
Supporting seasonal changes and promotional setups
Following health and safety practices, includingmanual handling
Working as part of the wider store team whenrequired
What You’ll Bring
Previous retail or garden centre experience(preferred)
Confidence assisting customers and providingpractical advice (required)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weatherconditions (required)
Good reliability and a positive, team-focusedattitude
Availability to work several weekdays and atleast one weekend day (required)
Local resident , ideally living within
20–30kmof the Whangaparaoa store
(preferred)
