Description:
The Merchandise Handler in Receiving is responsible for unloading incoming shipments and verifying the quantity and condition of merchandise received. This is a first shift position working from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Merchandise Handler, Receiving Department Duties and Responsibilities
Unload merchandise from inbound trucks and trailers.
Inspect shipments for quantity and quality accuracy.
Verify received goods using RF scanning devices.
Transport product to designated receiving or staging areas.
Operate sit-down forklifts and related equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
Merchandise Handler, Receiving Department Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced receiving environment.
Dependable with strong attention to detail.
Willingness to learn material-handling equipment and receiving processes.
