STOREROOM ATTENDANT (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a dedicated Storeroom Attendant to maintain the quality and safety of food and supplies. The role requires organization, inventory management, and adherence to food safety guidelines.
Location Nova Southwestern University – 3300 South University Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33328
Schedule Full‑time and part‑time positions with variable days and hours. Night and weekend availability required.
Pay Range $16.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, store, and inventory all departmental supplies and food items while maintaining sanitation standards.
Store food and supplies in correct containers and storage areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items per standards.
Date, label, and rotate stock according to procedures, using the first‑in, first‑out method.
Order food and supplies based on product specifications established by company ordering protocols.
Secure designated areas against theft, hazardous chemicals, and equipment to safeguard associates.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure safe arrival.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety.
Report needed maintenance or repairs of equipment used to proper resources.
Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports outlined in corporate policies and procedures on time.
Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals per manufacturer recommendations and MSDS sheets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous food service and/or warehouse work experience preferred.
Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
