Security Guard – Armed Patrol Retail Complex
in
Universal City, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a leading retail location, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to deter security‑related incidents, and interacting with the public to provide outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving position where you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment while upholding the Allied Universal values of teamwork, integrity, and a people‑first approach.

What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, helping to maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
Collaborate with store personnel and Allied Universal management to address security‑related concerns and support overall operations.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or incidents requiring an armed security presence.
Minimum Requirements
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
