In this role, you’ll lead all aspects of the culinary operation at Sortino’s Italian Kitchen—a new‑age red sauce restaurant where classic Italian flavors meet modern flair. Sortino’s is a casual restaurant and bar bringing to Wisconsin the warm hospitality and authentic recipes first established over 60 years ago by Giorgio and Giacomo Sortino at their original Sortino’s Little Italy in Sandusky, Ohio.

Salary Range

– $70,000 – $82,000 per year

What You’ll Do:

Lead and support kitchen team members in delivering an authentic Italian dining experience, including oversight of the pizzeria station.

Monitor food cost controls, portioning, prep par levels, and waste management to support operational efficiency.

Conduct daily line checks to verify that all kitchen stations are fully stocked, organized, and ready for smooth service.

Step confidently into a leadership role in the Chef’s absence, ensuring continuity of service, staff support, and culinary excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

We require a background of three years of progressive culinary experience and three years of management experience.

Strong background in Italian cuisine and pizza operations preferred.

Basic knowledge of P&L, labor control, & food cost/recipe costing.

Ability to gain ServeSafe certification or equivalent (preferred).

A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others
