Security is an essential industry and DK Security has been, and will continue to be, hiring new employees for our constantly growing business. For safety we have made changes to our interview and hiring process – transitioning to virtual interviews and online training to limit the number of persons, and amount of time employees spend, at our offices. We are in constant communication with our clients to review and update procedures and practices that meet or exceed government recommendations.

Perks

Pay Rate: $18/hr - $19/hr

Part Time

First Shift: 10:30AM-5:30PM

Second Shift: 5:30PM-Last Flight

Third Shift: 4:00am-10:30am

Weekend Availability Required

16-24 hours a week (Could be more)

LOCATION: Kentwood, MI

Primary Responsibilities As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Officers at this site will be working multiple customer service positions. Additional responsibilities will be provided.

Success Criteria

Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.

Friendly Personality – Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.

Following Company and Client Policies – Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.

Use of De‑escalation Techniques – Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.

Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.

Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified.

Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Less than 2 at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years.

No other major violations in the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs.

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations.

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
