Installation Technician
Location: Missoula, MT. Salary: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00.
We are seeking skilled and experienced carpenters to join our dynamic team at Glo, a boutique fenestration design and fabrication studio. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in carpentry, ideally with experience related to aluminum windows and doors. This individual will play a crucial role in the proper installation of all Glo products and also the troubleshooting and servicing of them.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute the installation and servicing of all Glo window and door products with a high degree of precision and craftsmanship.
Serve as the primary technical authority on-site, interacting professionally with architects, project managers, fabricators, and builders to ensure optimal installation outcome and provide expert guidance.
Diagnose complex service issues and manage service claims from initial assessment through full resolution—performing work hands‑on when needed and documenting progress through Glo software.
Collaborate with the service and installation supervisor to plan labor, order materials, manage billing, and track work orders efficiently.
Travel to job sites to oversee, support, and perform installation work—often leading installation teams and mentoring junior installers on best practices and techniques.
Produce thorough and accurate documentation of installations, repairs, site conditions, and maintenance activities.
Assist with crating, packaging, loading, and unloading of Glo products as needed, ensuring material handling aligns with care standards for premium products.
Continuously expand product knowledge by staying current on new installation techniques, hardware systems, performance standards, and industry advancements.
Act as a field ambassador for Glo—representing quality, professionalism, and technical excellence in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of carpentry or fenestration experience with advanced skill level and demonstrated craftsmanship.
Expert ability to read, interpret, troubleshoot, and implement construction plans, window schedules, technical drawings, and shop details.
Proven track record operating independently on job sites, making decisions, and resolving installation challenges without supervision.
Customer-facing experience in high-end residential or commercial construction environments.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy products, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
Strong proficiency with digital tools, field documentation, and mobile job tracking software.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple service tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and trade partners.
Valid driver’s license required; ability to drive trucks and tow trailers.
