Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated
Part-Time Associate Veterinarian
to join our growing veterinary practice. The ideal candidate is a general practitioner who is confident in providing high-quality medical care, enjoys working as part of a team, and is committed to excellent client communication and patient welfare.
This position is ideal for a veterinarian seeking a flexible, part-time schedule in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Schedule
Part-time position: approximately 2 days per week
Benefits and compensation will be
prorated based on hours worked
Responsibilities
Performing comprehensive patient examinations and diagnosing medical conditions
Prescribing medications and developing appropriate treatment plans
Providing preventive care, including vaccinations and wellness exams
Performing general soft-tissue surgeries (spay/neuter and other routine procedures)
Conducting dental examinations and dental procedures
Interpreting diagnostic tests (bloodwork, radiographs, etc.)
Maintaining accurate and timely medical records
Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care
Qualifications
DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in California
Experience as a general practitioner preferred ( new graduates welcome to apply )
Proficiency in routine medical, surgical, and dental procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to ethical veterinary practice and patient-centered care
