Position Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified test prep tutor with expertise in SAT, ACT, HSPT, and/or ISEE, as well as computer science tutoring. The candidate must be self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, extremely comfortable multitasking, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations but also working closely with our founder and other lead staff, this role requires collaboration across our outreach, operations, and client relations teams to ensure success for both our counselors and clients.
You will also be an ambassador for our company, responsible for driving growth through webinars, diagnostic reviews, boot camps, and group work, presenting our services in a compelling manner that resonates with families. The majority of time will be dedicated to clients, supporting students on their journeys, and ensuring the process goes smoothly and deadlines are met. Weekly billable hours will vary depending on students’ needs, as some students may not need weekly support, while others may require bi‑weekly support.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree from a Top 50 institution
Requirements
Expert knowledge in standardized testing
Comfortable tutoring ACT/SAT and AP Computer Science courses
At least 2 years of verifiable experience, either
Working for a reputable tutoring company or
Working as a teacher at an accredited high school, college, or university
Extremely reliable, friendly, and confident – no wallflowers! We only hire people with upbeat, outgoing personalities
Demonstrated passion for helping students excel in school and reach their full potential
Available after school and on weekends
Access to a personal laptop for sessions
Access to a reliable internet connection
Reliable transportation with valid car insurance for potential in‑person sessions
Ability to consistently schedule with clients in different time zones
Preferred but not required
Experience tutoring other standardized tests (e.g., LSAT, MCAT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, etc.)
Classroom experience (as a teacher or teaching assistant)
Teaching credential
Postgraduate degree(s)

Compensation & Additional Details
This is a part‑time, hourly, non‑exempt position
Includes client and employee referral programs, as well as performance‑based and discretionary bonus opportunities
