We are currently looking for
Onsite Haitian Creole Contract Interpreters
in the
Dayton, Ohio
area who have a sincere desire to use their language skills to help people and are passionate about what they do.
Contract Responsibilities:
Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual first‑person interpretation, both by phone and video remote.
Follow interpreter protocols and procedures required by Propio L.S. clients.
Adhere to all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and any other applicable regulatory requirements or policies.
Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health‑care providers, and clinical employees.
Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge, as required for various clients such as medical, legal, social services, etc.
Requirements:
Submit an updated resume in
English
at time of application.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Intermediate level computer skills.
Access to reliable transportation.
Provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, and Covid.
Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
Signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
1+ years of interpreting experience.
