Academic Coordinator, TRIO/Student Support Services - TRIO and Educational Access Programs Full‑time, grant‑funded position at Southeast Missouri State University.

Position Summary Coordinate and deliver academic counseling, support, and enrichment services to first‑generation, low‑income, and students with documented disabilities, facilitating their persistence and graduation within the University’s TRIO/Student Support Services program.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide academic counseling and support to students to achieve graduation goals.

Develop and deliver college‑success and financial‑literacy seminars.

Maintain an overview of university‑wide academic support resources.

Collate and report program data; assist with program evaluations.

Collaborate with campus programs, offices, and departments; serve as liaison with Tutorial and Supplemental Instruction Programs.

Assist participants in tutoring or Supplemental Instruction and provide follow‑up services.

Recruit, screen, and select program participants.

Promote program awareness; speak to interested groups.

Design and implement cultural and academic enrichment activities; manage the program’s social media component.

Lead project‑related initiatives, including planning, organizing, and evaluation.

Complete student‑contact documentation; serve on committees and travel to off‑campus events as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

One year of office experience involving data, technology, or records management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience working with first‑generation, limited‑income, or disabled students.

Knowledge of graduate‑school application, admission, and financial‑aid processes.

Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
