Banquet Server - On Call

TPG Hotels and Resorts Welcome to InterContinental Kansas City on the Plaza. The On-Call Banquet Server sets up, serves and breaks down banquets in safe and efficient compliance with proper food handling, policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management. Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations. Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner. Responsibilities Set up, serve and break down banquets in accordance with policies, procedures and brand standards. Maintain safe food handling and serving techniques in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provide excellent guest service and courteous communication; greet guests professionally. Report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, and safety hazards to management. Ensure proper presentation of service areas and adherence to privacy policies and regulations. Operate basic office equipment as needed and assist with timely check processing and payments in line with policies. Qualifications Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving guidelines. Ability to process checks and payments in compliance with policies and procedures. Ability to compile facts/figures, identify issues and resolve basic matters. Ability to follow policies and procedures and take appropriate action. Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment. Attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills. Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
